Best Places to Visit in Seoul, South Korea

   It took me some time to write this blog entry because I had a problem in deciding the best places to visit in Seoul when the city itself has so many attractions that you should never miss. However, after spending some time looking back at my Seoul trip, I have come out with the top three must-visit places that I think are the best choices for people to enjoy the various sides of Seoul that they have never experienced before. 

    But before we go further into that, let me introduce a bit about Seoul, the capital city of South Korea. Seoul is the largest city in South Korea and it is situated in the northwest part of the country on the Han River. It is the home for more than half of the population of South Korea and the city itself can be considered as one of the most advanced cities in the world.  What makes this city to be so unique is that you can always enjoy the vast nature and historical places even though the city itself can be considered as a metropolitan city. 

    When coming to Seoul, you should never miss visiting Gyeongbokgung Palace which is the largest palace that you can find in Seoul. It was built during the Joseon Dynasty and it is the home for kings and their servants for more than 200 years. 

    To make your palace visit to be more memorable, do not forget to rent and wear beautiful hanboks which are the traditional clothing for the South Koreans. There are a few hanbok rental stores around the palace area and you can rent the clothes at affordable prices as wearing them allows you to get a free entry into the palace. By doing this, you can feel a deeper experience with the culture and also learn more about the history of South Korea. 

    If you are a person who loves nature, then this is an experience that you should never miss which is boarding one of the Han River cruises. Various companies can provide this experience but the most famous one is the Eland Cruise. 

    There are various types of cruise tours that they can offer but if you are on a budget like me, you can opt for Eland Story Cruise. From this cruise tour, you will be able to enjoy breath-taking sceneries such as 63 City Building, N Seoul Tower and many more.  

    Do not forget to buy some snacks as you can also enjoy the experience of feeding seagulls from the deck of the boat! 

    

    Saving the best for the last, my favourite place out of all the tourist attractions that I have visited in Seoul is the Everland which is the biggest theme park that ever existed in South Korea. The best thing about this theme park is that it has so much to offer to the visitors regardless of their age groups and their interests. 

    If you are a thrill-seeker like me, there are various adventurous rides that you can try but my favourite would be the T-Express. It is the first wooden roller coaster in South Korea and it is absolutely not for the faint-hearted as the intense drop can be described as an out-of-this-world experience. 

    If you are the type of person who enjoys beautiful and relaxing views, then the Four Seasons Garden is definitely a feast for your eyes. For me, it was the spring season when I visited South Korea so they were having the annual tulip festival in the garden and the vibrant colours of the tulips were very satisfying as far as the eyes could see. 

    There are so many things to talk about when it comes to Seoul but the three attractions that I have mentioned above would be the places that I would recommend to people when they plan a trip to South Korea.
